The establishment of the UMM Bureau of Research, Service, and Cooperation (BRPK) led by Vice-Rector  IV is a form of UMM's commitment to the fields of research, service, and strategic cooperation, which ultimately leads to an increase in University rankings. As a first step in this effort, BRPK held a Coordination of Policy Design and Implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and an International Ranking Workshop. The activity was held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, in the Rectorate Conference Room. It was also attended by the Vice-Rectors, Heads of Bureaus, Heads of Sections, Heads and Secretaries of Institutions / UPT under Field IV, and the UMM International Ranking Team.

They acted as the speaker, and a team from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, including Prof. Dr. Achmad Nurmandi, M.Sc, Ir. Slamet Riyadi, Ph.D, and Dr. Mega Hidayati, M.Ag, shared information and experiences on best practices that have been carried out at UMY. Explaining the various efforts and tips that have been made, Prof. Nurmandi provides an overview and vision of how UMY can face these challenges and hopes that UMM can also do so and can collaborate with significant PTMAs in Indonesia to work together in improving QS Rank Achievement and can become a role model for other PTMAs that are still in the development stage.
