The Balangan Regency Government of South Kalimantan, represented by the Regional Secretary, H. Sutikno, during a visit to observe students studying at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), was received by the Vice Rector IV, University Secretary, Head of the Bureau of Research, Community Service, and Cooperation, and the Cooperation Head. 1. Priority on Education: The Regent prioritizes education as one of the main focuses of his work program. This includes efforts to improve the quality of education and ensure access for all students.
   Request for Education Quotas: To improve access to education, the Regent requested an additional quota for students, enabling more students to get their studies.
2. Improvement in Funding Schemes: The Regent is also focused on improving the funding schemes for education in Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan, to ensure that available funds are used effectively and efficiently in supporting education.
3. University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM): UMM offers various educational programs, including international programs, credit transfers, and double degree options, aiming to provide students with more educational choices.
4. Commitment to Supporting Students: During the visit, the Regent expressed his commitment to supporting students by accommodating tuition fees and providing additional assistance to help them focus on their studies.

During this visit, the Balangan Regency Government also signed an MoU with UMM within the scope of the university's Tridharma (Three Pillars of Higher Education). (red/her)
