Malang, August 21, 2024. University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) officially collaborates with LAzismu East Java in efforts to expand access to education for LAzismu employees. The signing of this cooperation agreement was carried out at Campus III UMM, which was attended by Deputy Rector IV of UMM, Muhammad Salis Yuniardi, M.Psi., Ph.D., Chairman of LAzismu East Java, Imam Hambali, M.SEI, and Dean of Vocational Studies Dr. Tulus Winarsunu, M.Si.
This collaboration includes the provision of a scholarship scheme with affordable tuition fees for LAzismu employees who wish to continue their education at UMM. This scholarship is expected to improve the quality of human resources within LAzismu so that they can make a greater contribution to carrying out the humanitarian and social missions carried out by LAzismu.
In his speech, Muhammad Salis emphasized UMM's commitment to continue supporting the development of the quality of Muhammadiyah cadres through this scholarship initiative. "UMM is committed to providing wider access to education to all groups, including LAzismu employees who have contributed greatly to social and humanitarian work.

Meanwhile, Imam Hambali M.SEI, the chairman of LAzismu East Java, also expressed UMM's appreciation and support for employee development within LAzismu. "Through this collaboration, we are not only talking about increasing individual capacity but also about strengthening the organization in producing Muhammadiyah cadres who can face the challenges of the times," he said.
On the other hand, UMM Vocational Dean, Dr. Tulus Winarsunu, explained that UMM, through the Vocational program, has carried out various cooperation schemes with various work-ready programs and human resource development with Japanese and German parties, which provide many benefits for the community and students. This cooperation is also expected to be the foundation for further collaboration in various fields, including the development of broader social and da'wah programs, which will be deeply rooted in Muhammadiyah values.
